CREATIVITY

Working at Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science

Enhancing visitor experiences by updating interactive exhibits with Arduino, designing educational kits that teach kids about jellyfish life cycles and movement, and creating a new exhibit on stingray tail motion using soft robotic inflatable shape-changing technology. The work blends technology and education and is designed to engage audiences with marine science in dynamic and immersive ways, which ensures exhibits are informative and interactive for visitors of all ages.

SUSTAINABILITY

The building industry faces entropy with abandoned buildings contributing to urban decay.  Only 12.2% of brick and clay tile waste is recycled—most of it ends up in landfills. The mission of addressing the climate crisis is more relevant and urgent than ever and time is fast running out.  I urge companies to join the Waste Offset Program. This work matters now as it offers a lasting, large-scale solution to reduce waste and gives us a fighting chance to protect our planet.

TECHNOLOGY

Core77 Design Awards Emerging Technologies Award

As devices like Meta Orion and Even Reality G1 Smart Glasses continue to shape the landscape of digital interfaces, I believe that the future of work lies within immersive, multi-sensory technologies. While many tech companies are currently emphasizing the visual aspect of virtual and spatial realities, the potential of olfaction remains largely untapped. I envision an interactive platform where digital and sensory realities seamlessly converge, creating a harmonious blend of technology and human perception.
